Belle Meade Family Dental, located in the Dogwood area of Flowood, opened in 2003 by Dr. Jason Cox. Dr. Cox received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical School in 2002 and is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of University of Southern Mississippi. While in his third year of dental school, Dr. Cox and his wife were led to specific property on Lakeland Drive that had yet to be developed. On an evening drive, they stood and prayed in the very location that, two years later, became a reality for his successful practice. A practice that started with building plans drawn on a napkin and scheduling on a spiral-bound notebook, has grown to provide advanced dental care with a knowledgeable staff.
Dr. Cox is trained and skilled in all disciplines of dentistry, including dental implants, dental surgery, clear aligner orthodontics, advanced root canals, tissue grafts with 3D imaging, a state-of-the-art lab and sterilization unit on site. He attended the Global Institute for Dental Education and completed extensive training in implant therapy, bone grafting and sinus lifting procedures. His investment in CAM/CAD dentistry provides patients with same day crowns, veneers, bridges, on-lays and other prosthesis in order to provide better accuracy and convenience for patients' schedules. His dental practice provides services in every aspect of dentistry, reducing the need for referrals.
Dr. Cox has been married to his wife, Leah, for 23 years and has three sons - Jonas, Fletcher and Asher. His family attends Pinelake Church, where Dr. Cox leads men's bible study and has participated in yearly dental missions. An avid cyclist and runner, Dr. Cox is a 4x Ironman Finisher. He enjoys coaching his son's baseball team and hunting in his spare time. Dr. Cox says that "dentistry is a calling, not only to help my patients with their dental needs, but I'm also there as an encourager of overall health and spiritual well-being."
